Situated just one hour south of Anchorage and minutes from the slopes of Alyeska Ski Resort, this 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom residence is a sanctuary quietly nested into the dense Southcentral Alaskan forest. Oriented to capture breathtaking panoramic views across the water toward the majestic mountain ranges of Hope, the home is designed to feel less like an imposition on the landscape and more like a natural extension of it.

The glass breaks the barrier between the rugged exterior and the refined interior through a curated palette of tactile, natural materials. Dark timber siding and stone ground the exterior, while large expanses of glazing invite the changing light of the seasons inside. The heart of the home is a dramatic double-height living space overlooked by a mezzanine, fostering a sense of volume and connection. This openness is anchored by warm textures that mimic the surrounding environment: rich walnut cabinetry, moss-green tile, vertical wood slatting, and organic stone surfaces create a cozy, earthy refuge. From the durable, concrete-floored mudroom designed for ski gear to the light-filled dining area, every element works to blend the boundaries of the home with the forest, offering a warm, textured counterpoint to the stark beauty of the Alaskan winter.
